Radiology
We provide a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging services for all eligible beneficiaries. These services include routine X-rays, computerized tomography, fluoroscopy, digital 3-D mammgrams, ultrasounds, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI; currently available to active duty personnel only).
Routine X-rays are available on a walk-in basis, while all other imaging services require patient preparation and must be scheduled in advance.
Advanced imaging requests entered by providers in MHS Genesis are transmitted to a radiology folder and require a digital approval from our radiologist. Once approved, these orders are automatically transferred to our scheduling pool, ensuring that scheduling staff have immediate visibility.

Important Information
To request copies of radiology exams, please visit the Radiology front desk and bring your identification card. If you are picking up copies for a household member over the age of 18, you will need to provide a signed written authorization and the member’s identification card.
Referrals for Radiology Services We Don’t Provide
Referral processing may take up to 5-7 business days after your PCM or specialist visit. If the referral has been deferred to network, you will receive a letter within 5 to 10 business days by mail.
If you have not received a call from the approved outside imaging location, or received a copy of the referral via mail, please call Humana at 800-444-5445 to verify the location and contact information of your approved imaging location.
If an appointment is not made by you within180 days, the referral will be closed.
Please have referral clinics fax any reports to your Primary Care Physician or team. If possible, hand carry your imaging and report to future appointment with PCM. You may also bring a copy (CD or DVD) of your imaging to the Radiology front desk to be uploaded into the military PACS (imaging) system.
