Immunizations Clinic
Immunizations provides all routine adult, infant, childhood, travel, and deployment vaccines (except for cholera) by appointment only.
Pediatric vaccines: Children assigned to the Pediatric Clinic will receive their routine vaccines in the well-child area directly after their appointment. See children’s vaccine schedule below.
Tuberculin purified protein derivative, or PPD, tuberculosis skin tests: Administered on Mondays and Tuesdays only; read on Thursdays. PPD skin tests are not administered on the day before a long weekend since the test must be read 48-72 hours after administration to be accurate.
Influenza Vaccines: We provide the seasonal flu vaccine using Department of Defense guidance and while supplies are available. DOD flu vaccine supply often arrives later than commercially available supply; patients may also receive the flu vaccine free of charge at a TRICARE participating network civilian pharmacy.
Travel Vaccines: You must first be seen by Travel Medicine or the 633rd MDG Public Health Clinic to verify vaccines needed for the area you plan to visit. Call 757-764-6731 for more information.
If you have received vaccines from an off-base provider, please bring a copy of the vaccination record for transcription. We can’t do same-day records transcription.
To schedule a vaccination appointment, please call the Hampton Roads appointment line at 757-764-7630, option 1. Active duty service members may walk in, Monday – Friday, 11 a.m. – noon, on days the clinic is open.
If you need a vaccine not routinely administered per CDC guidance, you must provide a prescription from your Primary Care Provider.
